Making changes in life requires courage and dedication, especially when the changes force you to reinvent yourself in so many ways. As a woman of colour, immigrant and new mom, I had to overcome challenges that I wouldn’t be able to without support. I know how it feels to be lost, undervalued, misunderstood, alone and disconnected from others. I know how it feels to struggle with identity crisis and feeling of belonging. These kinds of struggles can easily lead to depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues. I am happy I got the support I needed, and it turned my life around, helping me to make many improvements and being able to pursue my goals.

Psychotherapy can help us to understand ourselves, develop more satisfying relationships, and live the life we long to lead.I am trained to listen in an emphatic, understanding, and focused way. By providing a safe, non-judgmental and confidential setting I am able to better understand you, your needs, your goals and the best way for us to work together to help you to achieve them.
My work is client-centred using a combination of modalities such as cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, and narrative therapy, among others, according to the client’s unique needs. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the Catholic University of Minas Gerais in Brazil. I also have a Master of Business Administration from UNA University in Brazil. In Toronto, I completed the Bridge to Registration and Employment in Mental Health program. Currently, I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I am also a member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP).
