Dear new and existing clients and families of clients;
In March we made the difficult decision to close our About Mind office. Ontario had declared a State of Emergency and we joined the fight in preventing the spread of COVID-19. As of May 19th the government is allowing counselling and psychotherapy offices the choice to reopen.
The College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario has strongly asked therapists to consider the need to return to in-person versus the ability to offer support remotely. In considering the health of us all, About Mind has decided to remain closed until further notice. All appointments will continue to be conducted on video or phone during this time.
We are still accepting new clients. We will continue to support our clients remotely until our landscape changes and we are able to see you in the office.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

We, the founders at ABOUT MIND met during our internship while obtaining our Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degrees. Our passion for providing ethical and inclusive mental health care generated the development of ABOUT MIND.
Our vision is to make psychotherapy an integral part of human development, learning process, and healthy wellbeing. We strive to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health issues and seeking help. Our hope is that psychotherapy will be embraced as a stigma-free, supportive treatment approach. Mental health is not only focused on being well but also empowers individuals to attain optimal living conditions.
Our mission is to provide ethical, moral, and optimal health care to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. To understand and envelop the needs of our diverse community within a non-judgmental, culturally-sensitive, and affirmative practice.
Our values include unity, strength, compassion, understanding, exploration, and change.
