ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear new and existing clients and families of clients;

Due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic and in line with Ontario declaring a State of Emergency, we have closed our About Mind office moving in office appointments to online video or phone until further notice.

We will continue to do so to best support you. There is no download necessary for the online option, and your therapist will share their secure online platform with you. This allows for us to keep your regular appointments and continue our work together.

We are still accepting new clients during this time. Let us know if you prefer online video or the phone and we will work together remotely until our landscape changes and we are able to see you in the office.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Best,

Edna and Melanie

We, the founders at ABOUT MIND met during our internship while obtaining our Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degrees. Our passion for providing ethical and inclusive mental health care generated the development of ABOUT MIND.

Our vision is to make psychotherapy an integral part of human development, learning process, and healthy wellbeing. We strive to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health issues and seeking help. Our hope is that psychotherapy will be embraced as a stigma-free, supportive treatment approach. Mental health is not only focused on being well but also empowers individuals to attain optimal living conditions.

Our mission is to provide ethical, moral, and optimal health care to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. To understand and envelop the needs of our diverse community within a non-judgmental, culturally-sensitive, and affirmative practice.

Our values include unity, strength, compassion, understanding, exploration, and change.
